Privacy Policy
Last updated 21 September 2026
The short version. We collect your email address so we can send you Tonight's Note and tell you when the product opens. If you buy, we also keep what's needed to run your seven days. We don't run analytics, we don't use advertising cookies, and we never sell or share your information. You can unsubscribe with one click and ask us to delete everything at any time.
1. Who we are
Alfred's Note is operated by Arkans Corporation, a company based in Ontario, Canada ("we", "us"). Arkans Corporation is responsible for your personal information under this policy. You can reach us at info@alfredsnote.com.
2. What Alfred's Note does
We publish a free one-page record called Tonight's Note, and we sell short accountability programs, beginning with Seven Days with Alfred: a workspace, a nightly email asking what you did, and a voice note in reply.
3. Information we collect
What we don't collect
- No passwords. If you buy, you sign in with a link sent to your email.
- No card numbers. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe.
- No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising cookies.
- No contacts, no location, no social media accounts.
When you join the waitlist
- Your email address.
- The date and time you signed up, and which version of the wording under the button you saw. This is our record of your consent.
- A short source tag if the link you followed carried one, such as which video it came from.
- Whether Tonight's Note was sent to you, and whether you have unsubscribed.
If you buy a program
- From Stripe: confirmation that you paid, the amount, the product, and your email. We never see your card details.
- The hour and time zone you choose for your nightly note, and, for The First Ten, the channel you choose for personal replies.
- Each night's answer (did it, didn't, did part of it) and the line you write about what happened.
- Messages you send us.
What you write in your own Notion workspace stays in your Notion account. We can't see it.
Automatically
Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver the site and stop abuse. The check that tells people from bots also processes this kind of technical data. We don't use any of it to identify you.
4. How we use information
- To send Tonight's Note and the small number of emails described when you signed up.
- To run The First Ten draw and offer places to the people drawn.
- To deliver a program you bought: the nightly note, the reply for your answer, and your week's review.
- To answer you when you write to us.
- To keep the service secure and to meet our legal obligations, including keeping proof of consent.
For The First Ten, the person behind Alfred's Note reads what you write each night in order to reply to you personally. In the standard program, nobody reads your nightly line; it is shown back to you in your review.
We don't use anything you give us to train AI models, and we don't build advertising profiles.
5. Cookies
We set no cookies of our own on the public site. There are no analytics or advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking.
| What | Purpose | How long | Your control |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Tells people from bots on the signup form. May use a strictly necessary cookie or browser storage. | Short-lived | Clearing your browser data removes it |
| Sign-in session (buyers only) | Keeps you signed in after you follow your sign-in link | Until you sign out or it expires | Sign out, or clear your browser data |
Because nothing here is used for tracking, the site works the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
6. Who processes data for us
| Provider | What they do | Policy |

We share information with these providers only so they can do these jobs. We don't sell or rent personal information to anyone.
7. How long we keep it
- Waitlist address: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
- After you unsubscribe: we stop emailing you straight away. We keep your address on a do-not-email list, with your consent record, for up to three years so we can honour your choice and show we followed anti-spam law. Ask and we'll delete it sooner.
- Program answers and notes: for twelve months after your program ends, then deleted, unless you ask earlier.
- Payment records: as long as tax law requires, currently about seven years.
- Hosting logs: kept by our providers for a short period under their own policies.
8. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to emails at any time. Write to info@alfredsnote.com. We answer within 30 days. We may ask you to reply from the address concerned so we know it's you.
Canada
These rights come from the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act. If you aren't satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Residents of Quebec have additional rights under Quebec's privacy law, which we honour on request.
California
You have the right to know, delete, and correct your personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law, and we won't treat you differently for using your rights. An authorized agent may make a request for you.
European Economic Area and United Kingdom
Alfred's Note is aimed at people in Canada and the United States. If you are in the EEA or UK and use it anyway, we process your email on the basis of your consent, and program data to perform our contract with you. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Where your data goes
Our providers store and process data mainly in the United States. That means it may be accessible to authorities there under US law. We choose providers that publish strong security and privacy commitments.
10. Age
Alfred's Note is for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has signed up, write to us and we'll delete the record.
11. Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit. The database is closed to the public: only our server can read or write it. There are no passwords to leak and no card data on our systems. If a breach ever puts you at real risk of harm, we'll tell you and the regulator as the law requires.
12. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll post the new version here with a new date, and email people it affects.
13. Contact
Arkans Corporation, operating as Alfred's Note · info@alfredsnote.com. We reply within 30 days, usually much sooner.
